| As a treat for Halloween, Mike
managed to book Vice Versa to come and perform in the pub. Its not
very often that the Tav gets a full as it does on a New Years Eve
but this was one of them nights. Everyone was in good spirits, lots
of people were drinking spirits, and no one could wait for the band
to start. Vice Versa is made up of two guys - Randy and Martin (who
just so happens to be one of our regulars at the quiz). They started
off with some poppy numbers but then came the real fun - the impressions.
First out was Stevie Wonder, then Martin Kemp, then Elvis. |

Next was Tina Turner - and thats
where all my troubles began. Since the start of the night I had
been warned by quite a few people that Martin was after revenge
for a few embarrssing comments I've made about him during the quiz
over the last few months. I thought nothing of it - but when Randy
came out dressed as Tina Turner, he only had be in his sights. After
having my head thrust up his dress and into the big fake breasts,
I got dragged to the front of the pub, made to lie down while Randy
proceeded to sing the rest of the song sat
on my head. The pub found it most amusing, while I just had
to close my mouth and eyes and hope he finished the song before
I ran out of oxygen or choked to death on the Stevie Wonder pubic
wig he was wearing under his dress. I'm sure its one of those moments
that will go down in pub history.
The rest of the night continued to get better, and by the end of
the evening most people were up dancing and singing along. All in
all a fantastic successful night, of which we hope more will come.
I know Mikes trying to book them to play again, so if you did miss
out this time make sure you come next time they're in the pub. It
was well worth the price of the band just to see Cilla
up dancing, and our barmaids
being very horny.
