3rd December 2003 saw the Official Opening of the all new Roaring Meg. The night was set to coincide with the turning on of the pub Christmas Lights and a Race Night. The event was compared by Signal Radio sports Commentator George Andrews.

An auction was also held for signed Celtic and Rangers football shirts and a signed Zidane and signed Veron shirt. In total just over £600 was raised for local charities including the Meadows school, Biddulph In Bloom and the Roaring Meg football team. Click here to see a couple of photo's from the night.
