Walking into the Meg this Christmas is guaranteed to get you in the festive spirit. Mick, Chris and Sam have gone all out with decorations and lights this year and I don't think there would be room for any more if they tried. It makes a nice change from the couple of baubles we've gotten used to the past few years.
A challenge was also set this year to see who called build the best snowman to decorate the pub. The rules were that it had to be between 4ft and 5ft tall and could be made out of any material that could stand being on display for a month. In the end 3 snowmen were built - 2 by Chris, and one by Ecke, Zoph, Ugzy and Shorty. Rob Walmsley's effort ended in disaster when his paper mache creation still hadn't dried by the competition deadline. Everyone who took part in the competition was given a bottle of bubbly as a thank you. All of the snowmen (and snow women) are now on display on the shelves in the Meg.
