Forget about the England-France football match, the biggest match of the day in Biddulph was the scheduled cricket game between the 2 new Meg sides. One team led by Rob Walmsley and the other by Phil Slaney. As it happened Phil's team had to cancel at the last minute due to the majority of their team being either in Portugal or Thailand. This left Rob with a problem as all of his team were there waiting to play. It was decided that a couple of the spectators could be dragged in and we'd have a friendly game of 7 a-side.

The players were separated into two teams - oldies and youngies. The oldies were made up from Ian, Rob, Paul, Phil, Jacko (a last minute replacement for Ecke who wanted to go to the pub), Randall, and Greg. The youngies were Shane, Ad, Si Cope, Si Vawdrey, Ugzy, Rowan, and Wal.

The oldies got off to an absolutely fantastic start and in the end proved too much for the youngies. I'm not sure on the exact score but I'll try and find out off Rob. Highlights of the day were Ugzy nearly destroying a car windsreen with a cricket ball, and Ian Mountford representing his team in style (see above).

Thanks to all the spectators, wives, girlfriends and kids for coming and supporting!!
