11th March was Comic
Relief night and the pub held their own fundraising night
to celebrate. John and Bridder did a request disco where
people could pay 50p to have any song they wanted played.
Also about 13p (or some random figure like that) from
every pint sold went into the fund.
The highlight of the night though was Si Cope's dance!!
Si had been conned by John that if they could collect £15
from round the pub then he would have to do the Cha
Cha slide on top of the pool table. As as joke, Ecke
shouted out that he would double the pot if Si did
it in his pants. |

Forgetting
how little shame Si had, Ecke soon regretted his comment
and was forced to put £25 in the pot when Si agreed.
Then at the last minute an anonymous bid (Mick) of £50
came if Si would do the Cha Cha slide completely stark
bollock naked. I don't think anyone in the pub ever thought
he'd do it but not one to turn a challenge or a good
fundraising oportunity down, Si had stripped and was
swinging his manhood before anyone knew what had happened.
He lasted the full 3.5 minutes of the song to huge round
of apalause and looks of disbelief. There is a video
floating round the pub if u would like to be mentally
scarred for life. I think I'd probably get shutdown if
I posted it online. I have included 2 pictures though
for your enjoyment (both censored)!! Good on the lad
though for raising £125 for the charity!!
Another highlight of the night was Pobs Fancy Dress
costume. Just don't ask what he was wearing (or should
I say what he wasn't wearing) under that dress!! Also
Danni was on hand doing some of the scariest and best
face painting I've seen in a good while!! |
