This is some of the funniest
news to come out of the pub for a long time. Its all started as
a bit of fun at the quiz. Each week Mike would hide a small cuddly
toy somewhere in the pub. Teams were awarded extra points if they
could find it.
One normal monday night Captain Pugwash was put out on show behind
the bar so that the team would recognise him the next week, then
all of a sudden he vanished. Mike just thought one of the staff
had moved him. That was until he received a

| ransom note through the mail the next day. Whoever
went to effort of stealing the toy made us all laff by producing
a note made up of letters cut out from Magazines and demanding
a £20,000 ransom. Personally I would have gone for a pint
and a packet of Ready Salted, but anyway, so began the Pugwash
mystery (even more intriguing than the mystery of the Bench Co.) |

| After being kidnapped, nothing was heard
of Pugwash for a few months then all of a sudden pictures
appeared showing Pugwash enjoying the drug culture of Amsterdam.
This sparked rumours that he had faked his own kidnapping
and was now travelling the world working as an international
Drugs Baron. Over the last few months more and more pictures
have been sent to the Tav showing Pugwash's world travels.
So far he seems to have made his way round most of Europe... |
