3 New Cards Added - Naomi, Pete, and B'Day Bill
Naomi - (Even though she lives in the Tav, she's away at Uni for most the year so lose's points for distance and time spent in the Tav)
Pete - (A pretty decent card - excellent for time spent in pub, pub sports, and alcohol. Loses points for a gut size though)
Bill - (A pretty average card - good for time spent in pub, and stupid stunts)

Who remembers the old playground card game top trumps. It was a very simple game where you had a deck of cards and each card showed a character and a list of statistics for that character. The deck was shuffled and distributed between 2 players. Each card had a number of statistics on it and featured various characters, jets, dinosaurs or animals etc.. The first player would look at his top card and chooses one statistic to read out loud. The other player would read the same statistic and the player with the highest number would win the other players card.

By popular demand I've created the online game "Tav Trumps" which is top trumps featuring all of the familiar faces from the Tav. Fight it out between Ecke and Arthur, using statistic's such as Gut Size, and Time spent in the pub.

The catagories I have chosen are
  Gut Size (out of 100)
  Alcohol Consumption (out of 100)
Distance you live from the pub (out of 100). Close to the pub, higher the score
Amount of time spent drinking in the pub. (out of 100)
Pub sports ability (out of 100) - eg. Pool, darts skills
Stupid stunts when drunk (out of 15). Higher - the more stupid things you have done while drunk

  The Rules

The deck is shuffled and distributed between 2 players - you and the computer. Each card has a number of statistics on it and features a regular from the Tav. The first player is chosen at random and looks at his top card and chooses one statistic (eg. Gut Size, 78) . The other player displays the same statistic and the player with the highest number wins the other players card. If the statistics are the same (eg. both cards have a gut size of 78) the player who is not currently reading out wins the hand.

You keep reading out statistics until you loose a round. The winner is the first player to win all of the other players cards.

  Disclaimer

The game is meant to be a bit of fun. The statistics that have been picked are not meant to offend anyone, and have been chosen to add a bit of range and diversity to the game. If you're not happy with one of your stats then please email me at ecke@penninetavern.com and I'll see about changing it.
